The Motorhome Ireland group is a family based company. Lance & Dorothy Walker were keen motorhome owners before starting the company in 1996. The idea came after seeing the number of foreign registered rented motorhomes touring Ireland. There was an obvious need to increase the number of quality motorhomes available for rental. They were already aware of the lack of a motorhome centre in Ireland as they had purchased their motorhomes from England. Apart from the inconvenience of having to travel to England to view motorhomes, it meant that it was impractical to have any warranty work carried out on their motorhomes.

In 1997 we opened Ireland’s 1st motorhome centre, in Saintfield Co Down. Since then we have expanded into the South of Ireland with the formation of Motorhome Depot Ltd in 1998. In 1999 we purchased property outside Dublin and our new rental depot opened Easter 2000.

In early 2003 we relocated our Saintfield Depot to a more central position in Banbridge, Co Down.

Motorhome Ireland Ltd is a full and active member of the National Caravan Council which establishes the standards for the UK motorhome industry. All our UK built motorhomes comply to these standards. All our motorhomes comply to current EEC regulations. We maintain our motorhomes according to manufacturer and NCC guidelines.

Motorhome Ireland Ltd is a member of the motorhome dealers association. The motorhome dealers association coordinates between the manufacturers, dealers and owners.

Motorhome Ireland is a member of the Irish Caravan and Camping Council. The Irish Caravan & Camping Council produces the most comprehensive guide to Irish camp sites.

When it comes to having work done on your motorhome, you will want to know that it has been serviced by trained and experienced professionals on well equipped premises.

The Approved Workshop scheme is managed by The Camping and Caravanning club, The Caravan Club, and the National Caravan Council Limited.

To be accepted on the scheme, all workshops must pass an annual inspection by a team of independent assessors and must comply with the schemes rigorous standards for facilities and workshops.
