Terms and Conditions for Rental 2008

1. RESERVATIONS
A booking shall be complete when the reservation document is returned with a non-refundable £Stg 150; Euro 250 per week deposit. The hirer shall receive written confirmation of all hire details. Full payment shall be required no later than 4 weeks before departure or reservation may be cancelled. Payment is only acceptable by credit card or bank transfer. Debit card can only be accepted from UK or Irish residents. Two proofs of ID are required, one showing current address.

2. DRIVERS
Shall be 25-70 years of age, and have held a full licence for 2 years.
Licences must be free of endorsements (except minor speeding/parking offences). Maximum 2 drivers allowed. Any driver who has medical or legal restrictions on driving MUST inform Motorhome Ireland Group in advance. The full driving licence must be produced for inspection at time of collection. One driver is included in rate. Max. 2 drivers.

3. INSURANCE
Full driver insurance is provided by Motorhome Ireland Group to the driver(s) named on the agreement. Touring outside UK & Ireland shall not be permitted. Personal property is not covered while vehicle is unattended. Hirer shall be responsible for insurance excess (£Stg 500; Euro 750) per case not rental. The hirer is responsible to the amount of the caution deposit for damage to the motorhome or any third party and associated costs including recovery. The client should note that failure to declare an accident is a criminal offence.

INSURANCE EXCEPTION
• Driving by an unauthorised driver invalidates the insurance. It is illegal to drive without insurance in Ireland & UK
• Driving on the Connor Pass, County Kerry. The motorhomes are not allowed on this road and the insurance will be invalid
• The theft of a motorhome is not covered by insurance if the keys are left in the ignition.

4. CAUTION DEPOSIT
£Stg 500; Euro 750 This is accepted only by credit card (debited at time of collection). The caution will be returned in full at the conclusion of the rental provided
• No damage to motorhome or any third party
• Motorhome vacated on time, clean, refuelled & toilet emptied
• No additional costs have been incurred during the period of rental (see below)
The hirer shall be liable for any expenses or costs incurred through violation of traffic laws or regulations. An administration charge will be made if the hirer does not notify Motorhome Ireland Group. Damage to tyres & windscreens shall be the hirer’s responsibility. The hirer is required to check regularly the water and oil levels in the engine and tyre pressures. Any malfunction, breakdown or repairs caused by the negligence of the hirer shall be made good at the expense of the hirer.

5. BREAKDOWN
The hirer may instruct repairs to the value of £Stg 50; Euro 75. Motorhome Ireland Group must be notified by telephone for repairs in excess of this amount. Reimbursement shall be made on production of receipts.

6. ACCIDENTS
It is the hirers responsibility to complete the accident form where an accident occurs and to notify motorhome Ireland. Where any person is injured the police/guarda must be contacted. Failure to report an accident or damage to motorhome Ireland can result in the loss of all or part of the caution deposit. In the event of damage, breakdown or an accident NOT due to hirer negligence which deprives the hirer of the complete use of the vehicle, the liability of Motorhome Ireland Group shall be limited to the refund of rental charges for any days lost. Hirer is not entitled to a replacement vehicle in cases of excessive misuse or negligent damage.

7. CANCELLATION BY MOTORHOME IRELAND GROUP
Motorhome Ireland Group reserve the right to cancel a reservation at the commencement of hire when:-
• Nominated drivers licence is not produced or is not valid and not in accordance with the stated conditions.
• Failure to provide caution bond (credit card only)
• Over occupancy of booked motorhome
• Address on drivers licence must match booking/billing address or additional proof of ID is required
• Hirer from outside UK or ROI fails to produce a valid passport. UK/ROI must produce 2nd form of ID
In these circumstances all moneys paid by the hirer shall be forfeited. Motorhome Ireland Group reserves the right to refuse to hire to any person, without stating cause. Booking deposit may be refunded in this case.

8. AVAILABILITY
Motorhome Ireland Group shall make every effort to ensure that the vehicle you reserve is available at the agreed time. If for any reason it is not available, we shall endeavour to make another vehicle available without extra cost. BUT if this is not acceptable or another vehicle proves unobtainable, our liability is limited to the refund on any money paid.

9. HIRE PERIOD
Collection of vehicle shall be from the arranged collection point at 1600hrs unless agreed in writing previously. Motorhome must be returned & vacated before 1000hrs on the day and at the location agreed on rental agreement. Return to a location not agreed in writing will be subject to loss of caution. There shall be no refund for early return. Late returns without prior agreement shall be subject to a £Stg 30; Euro 50 per hour excess. Late pick up does not entitle hirer to late return.

10. TRANSFERS
A free group transfer is available from Dublin & Belfast airports between 0900 - 1600hrs Tuesdays to Saturday. Motorhome Ireland accepts no liability for clients disregarding transfer arrangements and for delays due to circumstances beyond our control.

11. COMPLAINTS
If any faults or damage to the vehicle are discovered after the rental period commences please notify Motorhome Ireland by phone. Faults or damage must be reported at the latest on the return of the vehicle. In the event that a complaint is not satisfactorily resolved upon return, the client must inform Motorhome Ireland in writing within 14 days.

12. PETS
No domestic pets or animals shall be permitted in vehicles. Guide dogs shall normally be accepted. Violation shall incur £Stg 75; Euro100 extra cleaning cost.

13. CANCELLATION BY HIRER
In the event of cancellation by hirer the following charges shall be incurred less than 4 weeks prior to departure, including no-show, 100% of hire cost; 4-6 weeks 50% of hire cost more than 6 weeks, booking deposit lost Note: We would advise you to purchase holiday cancellation insurance

14. STORAGE OF LUGGAGE & PERSONAL CAR PARKING
Storage of luggage or the parking of one car may be available, if booked. This shall be entirely at the hirer’s own risk.
